Author Biography

Elisabeth Schmid

Elisabeth Schmid (1912-1994) was working as a prehistorian, geologist, palaeontologist and archaeozoologist. She taught and researched at the universities of Freiburg i.B. (Germany) and Basel (Switzerland). In 1972 she was appointed full professor of prehistory and protohistory at the University of Basel.
